So my English class finished the Kite Runner a few weeks ago, and we had to do an artistic representation of one of the book's theme. So I chose Friendship. The quote that goes along with this is: "Then Hassan did pick up a pomegranate. He walked toward me. He opened it and crushed it against his own forehead. "There," he croaked, red dripping down his head like blood. "Are you satisfied? Do you feel better?" He turned around and started down the hill." page 93.

I highly recommend this book. Its not like a lot of school books where its a pain or going out of the way. Its a real page turner and very well written with a very interesting story line. I cant really describe it, but I recommend it.

You wont truly understand why this demonstrates friendship unless you knew what happened a few chapters earlier.
